Due to the corona crisis, the number of unpaid invoices among SMEs has increased sixfold. This was revealed in a survey conducted at the request of the software company Exact. In 2018, it was still about 2% of invoices, but since the corona crisis, this percentage has increased to about 12%. This corresponds to a loss of about 7.4 billion euros in sales, leading to a cash flow deficit of about 1.7 billion euros. In addition, only 56% of companies indicated that they have a real-time overview of their outstanding invoices.
